Charles Oakley believes NBA players today are soft.
According to the former New York Knicks and Chicago Bulls great, Oakley says today’s player are so soft that they “should wear dresses.”

This rhetoric isn’t much different from what many players of the 80’s and 90’s have said about today’s generation. Former Los Angeles Lakers great Mychal Thompson went so far as to say that LeBron James wouldn’t have survived in the 80’s because he believes he’s entitled:
“LeBron couldn’t have survived in the ’80s with the physicality and the words guys said to each other back then,” Thompson said, via CBSSports.com. “We all respect LeBron’s ability…but man, sometimes he acts too entitled like he’s supposed to get everything he wants.”
While Oakley hasn’t played in the NBA in nearly two decades, he could probably still serve as a team’s enforcer after his brawl incident at Madison Square Garden earlier this year.
