Everybody is still looking for a reason what exactly happened with the Cavs.
Just over a month ago, this team was fighting for their second straight championship. Now, Kyrie Irving reportedly wants out of Cleveland. He wants to be his own player, not LeBron’s sidekick. What possibly could have happened in that short span of time?
Apparently, it isn’t the relationship between Kyrie and LeBron. It all started with Irving’s dad.
It isn’t exactly a LaVar Ball-type scenario, but Irving’s dad’s feelings clearly caused some tension with the team.
Irving’s father reportedly was often shouting from the sidelines that Irving should be the top dog, not LeBron James. Maybe that thought got to his head, causing him to reach out and pursue playing for a team outside of LeBron’s shadow.
It looks like Papa Irving is going to get his wish, as the Cavs try to trade their star point guard in what could be the biggest move of the summer.
