NBA Trade Rumors: Top 5 Best Future Destinations For John Wall

Fadeaway World

Ever since entering the NBA, John Wall has caught the attention of pretty much everybody, as there were a lot of divided opinions about him on the early going, with some guys stating that he wasn’t a pure playmaker, while others criticized his lack of jump shot, with the rest of basketball fans just pretty excited about his upside.

And so far, he’s managed to shut pretty much every doubter, becoming an elite playmaker and most likely the best point guard in the Eastern Conference and a top 5 point guard in the league, totally leading the Washington Wizards in pretty much every stat.

Still, he hasn’t had much help to try and succeed in the postseason, and with LeBron James completely dominating the Eastern Conference, it’s pretty hard to actually compete and have a shot at the Larry o’Brien trophy.

So, with Wall being clearly the best player in the Wizards and considering the lack of help he gets (obviously excluding Bradley Beal), it wouldn’t be shocking to see him force a trade during the next season, considering he’s going to be an unrestricted free agent in 2019 and he’s definitely tired of losing at the capital, and that’s why today we’ll name the best 5 landing spots for the Kentucky product.

5. Los Angeles Clippers

It’s the dawn of a new era for Doc Rivers and his squad, with Chris Paul skipping town to join James Harden and the Rockets, raising a lot of doubts regarding the Clippers ability to contend without the best point guard in the Association.

But, truth to be told, Wall’s game is actually pretty similar to Paul’s and he’d definitely have a better shot at the Championship playing alongside Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan, although playing in the West won’t make things easier for Wall either.

4. Milwaukee Bucks

The Bucks currently have one of the most exciting projects in the Association, and with Giannis Antetokounmpo flourishing as one of the most dominant players in the Association, a 1-2 punch featuring Wall to free him from playmaking duties would definitely be something to look up to.

Jason Kidd has proven to be a very capable coach and motivator and considering all the youth at Milwaukee right now, Wall would be the icing on the cake of a very promising squad that could be a steady contending team for the long run.

3. Charlotte Hornets

Michael Jordan could part ways with Kemba Walker to make room for the Carolina native if the Hornets also manage to build a strong package that could raise some eyebrows in the capital, and Wall could have a one year+ tenure with his hometown franchise.

Of course, life won’t be much better at Charlotte than it is right now with Washington, but NBA players are always looking forward to go back to their roots and play near home, so this could actually happen if they play their cards right.

2. New Orleans Pelicans

The Pelicans just signed Jrue Holiday to a huge extension as their point guard for the future, but pairing Wall with a couple of former UK players in Demarcus Cousins and Anthony Davis would be a much smarter move for New Orleans, that could clear cap space and deal the injury prone point guard in order to lure Wall.

This move would definitely improve their chances to contend in the West, and the Pelicans would pretty much instantly become Championship contenders even despite playing in such a tough conference, being something like the second coming of Chris Paul for the franchise.

1. San Antonio Spurs

Obviously, this would be the ideal spot for Wall, as the Spurs are a constant favorite to reach at least the Conference Finals and adding the All-Star to play alongside Kawhi Leonard would be something that could pretty much knock everybody off their feet.

And with Tony Parker’s career coming to an end and the fact that they will actually have the money to keep him interested, moving to San Antonio would be just perfect for the fastest player in the Association.
